Non Communicable Diseases & Sedentary Lifestyle 

Non communicable diseases are diseases of long duration and generally slow progression. The four main types of noncommunicable diseases are cardiovascular diseases (like heart attacks and stroke), cancer, chronic respiratory diseases (such as chronic obstructed pulmonary disease and asthma) and diabetes. The WHO reported in 2014 that a staggering almost nine out of ten deaths (88%) in Ireland were due to non-communicable diseases. We discuss the importance of lifestyle change in deterring NCD's.
